Hello beautiful Humpherys family!
I am going to write an outline for the last year of my life so I don't write a huge paragraph that gets boring to read.
Dec 2010
I went home for Christmas and had a great time. C.J.and his family were'nt there so that was the only sad part.
Jan 2011
A good friend of mine came to visit and we did some snowboarding. There was a lot of great snow. I worked my last day at Sundance Resort and was glad to be rid of that job. I was working full time at Heritage Schools as their Aquatics Manager. I had a great time at this job and it taught me a lot of life lessons. I was also able to be a part of changing the lives of troubled teenagers, some of who have nothing. This was the first year in like three years I had only had one job and it was a strange feeling.
Feb 2011
I had my first official paid gig as a ventriloquist. The show was on Feb 10th 2011 at the Provo Library and it went well. Kids love that stuff.
Feb 11th & 12th I performed at Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah at their fine dining restaurant for Valentines Day weekend. I sang for 5 hour each night and it was a wonderful experience and opportunity.
On Feb 27th I went home for my Cousin Joslins mission homecoming. There happened to be a snow storm in Nevada City that same weekend. It was one of the biggest snow storms we've had in years. I think our house had around four feet and just up the hill it was outrageous... in a good way. Ive always wanted it to snow 10 feet there.. just once.
HORSE BACK RIDING: This is dedicated to all the uncles and aunts who grew up on the farm and have had way more experience horseback riding than I have. However the story occurred this same snowy weekend. My friend took me on a horseback ride in the four feet of snow. The day after the storm it was 60 degrees outside and I had a t-shirt on. We went riding on a dirt road, mostly cleared of snow, in the middle of the woods. We ran the horses for four hours straight. Just picture it.. four feet of snow everywhere you can see, dirt road, galloping horses, 60 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, wind blowing through your hair, fresh smelling woods.... It was truly one of the best experiences Ive ever had riding a horse. The horses actually got on a dead run where we couldn't stop them... that was the only slightly scary part. Oh ya, my horse jumped over a log and I lost grip and flew off the horse. That part was just funny though.

I did 11 paid ventriloquist gigs for the kids at Heritage and got even more experience. I love performing for teenagers they are much more sassy.
Apr 2011
I went to Nevada City for a downhill mountain bike trip with a couple good friends. This trip was a blast. We found some great trails and during one of our rides I almost ran into a bear. The bear was heading my direction and I was crossing his path and we almost ran into each other. I think we both startled each other. Then we both stared at each other for about 10 seconds. Now that is a long time considering you are staring straight into the eyes of a big brown bear. We both stared at each other without moving a muscle or looking anywhere else really. It was kind of a different feeling. I laid my bike down and started scooting my body towards the river that was right next to me. That was my backup plan in case I got attacked. Thinking about it now Bears can swim so jumping in the river may not have done me any good. I was scared that he might eat me but at the same time I was so excited and I wanted to run right up to him and be his friend! He actually took off when I tried to yell to my friend to come see and I chased after him. Brooke Humpherys said ," Only you would chase after a bear Camille"
May 2011
I had another ventriloquist gig on May 24th at the Orem library. This show was super exciting! There were almost 100 people there and so many little kids. The Orem library has a great advertising system. I didn't know this ahead of time until multiple people told me I was all over the radio and Internet. They also made a huge poster advertising my event.
July 2011
We had the family reunion in Nevada City this year! I had been dreaming of having it here since I was little. My family has made the trip so many times to Wyoming so I thought it was time that everyone venture out our way. It was a blast and I was a little sad that so many of my favorite people didn't come. However it was an amazing time.
I also tried out for American Idol in San Diego. This was a fantastic experience and was all due to cousin Michelle. She was the one who encouraged me tried out for AI. And because she is so selfless she spent like 600 dollars of her own money just to accompany me down there so I wouldn't have to be alone. We had a blast together. There was a lot of adventures like modeling photo shoots on the beach. I absolutely adore and love Michelle. Shes an amazing woman!
Aug 2011:
I went home to take my little brothers on a backpack trip. Trevor had football practice so we ended up only being able to go one night. Still it was very fun and I love my little brothers. My mom came with us to. If anyone wonders where I get my crazy adventurous side its from my mom. She is a fireball.
Oct 2011
I went back for another round of San Diego AI auditions. I didn't make it this time which was sad but C.J., Laurie and the kids,my mom, Brooke, my cousin Alan, Joslin and my roommate came to support me. It was another great experience and they held the auditions on the USS midway in San Diego.
Nov 2011 Iwent home for thanksgiving and had a blast as usual.
Dec 2011I posted my resume on Monster a year ago. AmeriTech college found it and contacted me for an interview. The same day of the interview I was offered a new job in my field at the College. I am now the Program Director over the Personal Fitness Training Program. I love this job. It is very challenging but is continually making me a better person and I am learning new things everyday. I was truly blessed by the Lord and it was all due to him.
I love you all see you at the reunion!!
Love,
Camille
