Dear Humpherys family,
There wasn't as much snow as there was last year. My grandma comes to visit every year and we are always so happy to see her. We are doing very good. I have an A in math class. My favorite clases are World History and Choir. I love history just like my dad did and I am in love with singing.
My mother loves her job and she is my best friend! I love her to the moon and back. But everything is so far so good. I hope everyone is doing well with you guys.

Rusty Humpherys family has been doing good. Working hard. Kids are doing good in school. Got full custody of gracey and lacey. Rikki turns 4 March 5th. She's getting so big and so smart. Well they all are..... Coby and Grayson are growing into men. How time flies. I got a great new job working in the solar fields. Nicole is still tattooing. We have our 2 dogs. Bonnie who we've had for 8 years and Oman is our mastiff who became a new addition this last year. We miss you all. Hope to make it to the family reunion this year. And hope you are all doing well. We love you.

Dear Humpherys family, 

Winter in Wyoming has been veeeery long. There has been more snow than any other year and more cold. Some of my cousins came to visit from Mexico and we were glad to see them. Their names are Susel and Rurico. High school has been really fun. I am a sophomore this year. My favorite class is choir, it's really entertaining especially because we are singing songs from movies. My mom has been doing great, and she still enjoys doing her job. My mom became a citizen and I am very happy for her because she worked hard to become a citizen. They built the new temple here in Wyoming and I was part of the temple celebration which was a privilege to be apart of. It was a beautiful and emotional experience I'll never forget. I hope all the Humpherys family is doing well.

Dear Humpherys Family, 
We are doing good, my mom is still working at the hospital and she loves her job. We spend time together a lot and have very good communication and I'm thankful that she is my mother. I'm in high school and I have new friends. I'm in martial arts as well and I enjoy that because you get to learn how to defend yourself if someone tries to hurt you. We love to go shopping, go to the theaters and go out to dinner. I'm excited because next year I get to drive. Me and my mom miss dad and we love him always.

Dear Humpherys Family,

Just to let you guys know, this is me Neva doing this newsletter since my dad isn't here. Me and my mother are doing really good. What we've done this year was go to Yuma, Arizona to leave Grandma Cruz at the train station. It was a fun ride since we had a friend that took us there laughing our heads off.

We stayed the night over at Aunt Nadean's in St. George and she is such a great host! After the whole trip me and my mom shed tears of course because we won't see grandma for a long time. Days go by like years. And so, my ma has a new job! She works at the hospital in Afton for housekeeping. She is cinderella now. My mom is very amazing. She is always there for me and I love her SO much! She is a mother anyone would die for. My mom’s doing great it’s just that we are STILL sad about Robert, a husband, a brother, and a father dying too quickly before fathers day, two years ago. I think (I know) we'll be sad for a very loooong time. But, no matter what, no one could take away my dad from my heart because all the memories are locked in there.

My dad was a great cowboy that feared nothing!...except mice is what my mom told me. He also loved to tease, scare, and tell stories about his amazing adventures. I am Just like my pa. I love to tease, scare, and WRITE stories. I'm not really good at telling them.

As for me, I'm alright. Junior High is a good place to be. I have all A's and B's! no c's or d's or f's. I'm working hard for my mom and dad. I've been struggling, but trying. I have a friend from Russia! but she's moving. I hate it when my friends move. Some of the kids there ask me 'Why are you so quiet?', 'Do you talk?', 'Why are you so serious?'...well, honestly I hate all these questions but I have to answer them. I'm quiet because I've always been like that! but now I'm growing to be quieter since my dad passed away and other things. I do talk. I'm quiet, but have this wild soul that I can't control. I'm serious...because I just am! I am really sensitive too but if I cry, it’s because I have a heart. I love to write, draw, sing, ride, swim, and many other things. I love writing quotes and stories. I MIGHT ('might' is the key word of this sentence) share one with you guys, its called 'Sorrow' about my life. One girl in my school that knew my dad died said 'are you coming to the daddy daughter dance?..oh wait. nevermind'

That’s why I dislike it when people ask me all these questions that they may know. I hope they all understand one day not to judge people. Not to judge people because someone might judge them of how they are and I hope they feel how I felt when they said that to me. When I cry, and someone hugs me, I cry even more. But, everything’s going ok with us. We have great friends that comfort us and great family that is always there for us and me.

Especially uncle Larry who picks me up at 7:00 for summer school and gets me to the bus. And then there’s Uncle Bob who is the tease of the year and he knows I love it! Now, Mom has to work and so we might make it to part of the reunion. And if we are not there, I hope you all have great family time!

Hello to all Humpherys family members from the members of Robert and Marisela's family.

Time seems to fly by far too fast, and its time to get this years history into the faithful people who are putting it all together for us.

We enjoyed the reunion last summer at Newell and Sally's house very much. We are looking forward to this years get together, and hope everyone can make it.

2011 was a good year in some ways for us, and not so good in other ways. The not so good part of the year was being separated so much due to the business demands, and Rusty had a bad accident breaking both his legs. The good part of it is, that we all have survived and seem to be improving. Rusty is getting stronger and better all the time. The business is getting better and growing as well, which is allowing me to spend more time at home with Marisela and Neva.

After Neva's school got out last summer, we went to Mexico and picked up Grandma Cruz. We then went back to Vegas and spent a few days with the business, then on to California to visit a friend who has a guest ranch in Santa Barbara. He took us (Neva & I)riding horses on the beach, which we really enjoyed. Neva fell in love with the ocean, and we all spent a lot of time in the water. It was hard to leave, but we had to go back to Vegas and spend a few days with the business, then back to California, to Uncle Newells for the Family Reunion.

After the reunion it was back to Vegas, then back to Wyoming and back to school for Neva. The summer flew by fast.

We spent Christmas in Vegas. Not the same as being home, but at least we were all together. Before we came back home, we made the trip to Yuma, Az, and put Grandma cruz on the Amtrack back to Del Rio, Texas, where her daughter picked her up and went back to Mexico. We always enjoy her stay with us, and we look forward to when she can come again.

I don't hear much from Luke Timmy Maryjo and Joseph, but I do know Timmy and Maryjo are both in Afghanistan. Luke is still in the Army, and Joseph is in college.

Neva is doing better in school. She is trying harder, and her parents are too.

DEAR FAMILY, THE HUMPHERYS FAMILY ONE AND ALL !

ALMOST EVERYTHING IS THE SAME THIS YEAR AS FAR AS ALL THE KIDS GO, EXCEPT RUSTY GOT MARRIED AND STILL LIVES THERE IN OREGON. HE SEEMS TO BE DOING WELL, AND HOPES TO BE ABLE TO COME TO THE FAMILY REUNION AT NEWELLS.

MARYJO GOT MARRIED, AND IS WITH HER HUSBAND IN THE AIRFORCE, AT ALTUS AFB, ALTUS OKLAHOMA.

WE ARE TRYING TO SELL THE BUSINESS IN LAS VEGAS, SO I CAN MOVE BACK TO ETNA WITH MARISELA AND NEVA. WE DON'T LIKE LIVING IN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES.

NEVA IS DOING GREAT IN SCHOOL, ALTHOUGH SHE STRUGGLES WITH MATH. ITS BECAUSE SHE IS RELATED TO HER DAD, CUZ HE GOT FAILING GRADES IN MATH, AND HIS DAD HAD TO PAY THE TEACHER MONEY, SO HE COULD GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL !

Marisela, Neva and I are still here in Las Vegas. All three of us like it better in Wyoming, in the old Red House, as Neva calls it, but we have got so involved in the The years just seem to go faster, can't believe its newsletter time again !
business here in Vegas, it is hard to walk away from at the present.
Neva, was so happy to go back home last summer, that she kissed the walls and the floor of Grandpa's and Grandma's old red brick home when she got there, at reunion time last year. After the reunion, Marisela and Neva spent most of the rest of the summer at the house in Etna. I wished I could have stayed with them, but had to come back and WORK,
Rusty is in Oregon. Luke is still at Fort Riley, Kansas, in the Army. Timmy is in Afghanistan, but should be coming home soon. He is married, and has a beautiful little boy. He has signed back up for another 6 years in the Army, and will be going back to Fort Richardson, Alaska. MaryJo, is in the Air Force, and will be getting married in March (6). We are going back there and are excited for her. She is engaged to a young man who is also in the Air Force. She seems very happy, and we are happy for her. Joseph, is still in high school, there in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Neva, is 9 years old already and in the 3rd grade. She goes to school very close to where we live, and likes it a lot. She struggles with math, and comprehension, and her teacher says she needs to apply herself more. Seems I remember all my teachers telling me the same thing. This trait must be inherited, so I'm to blame. It is fun to help her with her homework, and we are working harder at her becoming a better student.
Thankfully we all seem to be in good health. The business is slowly growing, we are trying to get to the point where we can keep some of the money we make.
We sure would enjoy a visit from any of you if you ever come to vegas. I promise I won't make you work(too hard), and we even have a spare room for you to stay in.

Hello to everyone in the HUMPHERYS CLAN !!!

Our family is growing bigger, and each going their own way except for little Neva, who isn't so little anymore.

She is in the second grade, she goes to school just minutes from our house here in Vegas. It is a brand new school, this being the first year it has been used. Neva likes school, and does well, except for math and some comprehension issues. We love her, she is the joy of our lives. Rusty is in Oregon. Luke is @ fort riley Kansas in the Army. Timmy is @ fort richardson Alaska in the Army. MaryJo is @ altus Air Force base, Altus Oklahoma, in the Air Force. She just got transferred there from Boloxi, Mississippi. She texts or calls almost everyday. Joseph is in High School, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Marisela and Cruz are enjoying each others company, we picked up Cruz about two weeks ago in Mexico.

We got a Forest Service permit which allows us to open a new stable on mt. charleston, here in Nevada. This kept us pretty busy last summer and are hoping it will this summer as well. Who knows with this economy the way it is.


We all may be hiding out in Prater Canyon to hide from the wolves.


Looking forward to seeing everybody this summer.
