Nadean 2013

Dear family,
This year has been quite different.  With my problematic eyes, I have been reduced to the level of a beggar, begging someone to take me shopping for groceries, buying medication, going to church.  You name It I have been a beggar for it, well that is until lately my eyes have improved significantly. Yay!!!!  Actually, I didn’t have to beg at all.  My friends and family have been like angels from heaven.
Jim and family came down for Thanksgiving.   We all went to a very nice restaurant at Zion’s park for Thanksgiving dinner.  It had a wildlife museum attached to the restaurant that we were able to tour after dinner.  We then read a letter from our missionary that completed the day on a spiritual note, It was very special kind of like way to end the day, like the frosting on the cake.  That night we met at the Lancaster’s and played games.  The next day, the ladies shopped and the guys played golf.  Dinner and a movie finished off the day.  Before they all left the next day everyone came to my home and put up my tree and Christmas lights.  What a treat that was!!!!
I’ve been enjoying the Olympics, especially the skiing and the skating.  It’s been interesting to listen to the interviews of the whole staff that makes this process of an event like the Olympics work.
I purchased an iPad last spring.  I have really enjoyed the many things that are at my disposal like games, audible books, e-mails from Katie, and a camera.  I have taken 324 punctures at different family functions.  Josh downloaded all the scriptures in BIG print, what an asset that is.
We had a Star Valley Reunion here at the park last week.  It is amazing how many valley people live here in the winter.
It is really nice to have Carol, Blair and Josh living here.  Josh is going to school and so he comes to see me on those days. He is so good to help me with odd jobs.  Most of all he is my iPad technician.  Their new house is coming right along, It is going to be a very nice little nest out here in the west.  It is not little by any means.
I hope all of you have had a good year.  It was so nice to see everyone at the Reunion.  Gerald and Tina really out did themselves. It was Wonderful!!!! Thank you so much!!!
I had a Great surprise last week. Marisela , Neva, and Cruise stayed with me for a little while. They were on their way to Yuma to put Cruise on a train. It is time for her to return to her home  in Mexico.
I’m sure this year will be a blast too,  Well, so long for Now.

All my love,

Nadean

Carol & Blair 2013

Hey Family!!!!
Well I cannot believe that it is already that time of the year again, wow does time ever fly. It sure has been an eventful year for the Lancaster family. Blair and I moved to St. George, UT last May to get away from the cold, dreary weather of Salt Lake and into year round sun shine.
We started building our dream home shortly after our move and it was quite a journey to complete the build. It ended up taking a lot longer than we expected but we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Blair really did build the home of my dreams.
I was able to transfer to Dixie Regional Medical Center here in St. George and for the most part I am really enjoying it. I have quite a few new responsibilities that took a while to get the hang of, but I have been able to get the hang of things and like my new role. Blair has been working a lot, like usual. He travels to Vegas a few times a month to meet with the coaches down there. He has also been flying all over the country quite a bit for various business meetings. He loves what he does, but not always the travel. Overall we are very excited to be in St. George and are absolutely loving our new home!
The kids actually wrote their own newsletters this year so I’ll let you read about what they have been up to from their newsletters.  Can’t wait to see everyone again, and we hope that this finds you all doing well!
Love,
Carol, Blair, Josh & Jase

Josh 2013

Hey Family!
Well as you may know I am in charge of the newsletter this year, don’t get to jealous! Haha. I’ve had quite the year, I decided to go back to school and moved from Salt Lake to St. George, UT to attend Dixie State University and I am really loving it!
I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in computer information technology and love every minute of it. School can be a little time consuming but I enjoy the challenge and I am learning more and more every day. I will be transferring to the University of Utah next year to finish my undergraduate school, and most likely start graduate school.
I recently started a small computer repair business and just had my first customer! Hopefully I’ll be able to develop it to the point that the business will sustain me throughout school. If not I am sure it will be a nice supplemental income source that provides good experience for my chosen career path.
I hope that everyone is doing well, love you all!
                                                                                    Josh

Jase 2013

Hey guys,
I'm really grateful that we take such great care to keep our family bond strong. I love you guys and am excited to share what's going on in my life.
Since serving the mission, I've been getting caught up with family things. I spent a lot of time with my grandma, and enjoyed the beautiful Star Valley summer weather with her. I got to help her with a garage sale that she had been planning on for months, I thought it went well.
Then I decided to move to Rexburg. It was a lot of fun, and Shane and Nicole were cool with me bugging them from time to time. I was glad to be there for a while, and loved the friendly atmosphere and my crazy social singles ward, but decided to move up to Provo.
I got to be in the warm weather living with my parents for a month during Christmas time. Their house is awesome, and it's not even finished! I think it's gonna be worth the wait.
So I feel very blessed to be living in Provo. I love the familiarity after serving a mission. I'm grateful to have a job, and family close by. I look forward to seeing you all at the reunion, and playing some hearts. I think it's about time for me to bring the “A” game.
Love,
            Jase

Sharon & Bob 2013

Dear Family,

I've been reading the news letters from 2007 and 2009, then I decided better get the letter done. I like going back and read the old news letters.

ITS  been a good  year for us. Kim Bryan Ray and Pam made it up over the 4th of July. Also Jeff and Sandra made it up from Colorado.

We went to Hill City South Dakota. We met up with Kim and Bryan. Also Chris and Amanda and the twins Sophia and Sawyer.

We had such a good time.  The twins just turned 2 years old. Chris took us through Custer State Park, very interesting. The big rocks just sparkled, with gold and silver flakes. The buffalo walked right by our car and didn't seem to mind that we were there.
We drove by Mt. Rushmore was so close to the Presidents you could almost touch there nose. A week after we got home they had that terrible blizzard right where we were staying .  You might remember seeing that on T.V.  Anyway all the cows died.
Miss all of you can't wait to see u in Bear Lake.

All My Love to All,
Sharon

A word from sandbar Bob ----2013 was another good year for us health wise and time spent with the family. ---in July we made a trip to South Dakota to get together with Kim, Bryan, Mandy, Chris, and great grandchildren a good week in the black hills. What a time did we have.
We also got together with Pam and  Ray and dogs at Clark canon reservoir in Montana are yearly fishing trip on Pam's birthday.  Yes lots of fish were caught. We also made a trip to Missoula to get together with Pam and Ray during thanksgiving. A big feed was had by all. Kim and Bryan and Pam were here in July to spend a week with us. A good time was had by all and lots of trips in the boat for fishing.
