Hello Family,
It’s been a year full of not a whole lot to report. We’ve been blessed in many ways,
however.
Kelly started swimming last year at the local indoor pool and worked his way up to one
mile. It’s not much when you consider he used fins (don’t laugh), but compared tostarting out from 10 laps in 40 minutes to over 70 laps non stop. It was a great
experience. So thanks to Jim for the motivation there. Kelly finally got a job. Starting
over in a different field has it’s rewards, and as you might expect, it’s challenges. So it is
what it is.
Sandra keeps her self busy helping everyone, and working ever faithfully as a dental
assistant. She certainly is the rock in our family. She currently serves as a primaryteacher in our ward.
Brooke has had a bumpy roller coaster of a year. She ended up not getting married. We
love her and are very proud of her. She works for the city of Henderson as a pre schoolteacher. She’s very good at her job and the kids love her like crazy. Her personality
keeps us on our toes as always.
Tanner worked as a life guard for most of the year, and has just recently got a new job at
a tire store which gives him a full week of work. Hopefully he’ll be turning in his paperssoon for a mission. He’s been very active with his friends singing for all the other friends
who have been leaving for their missions.
Sorry this isn’t too long. So let me just say this. Some may say that this past year hasn’t
been good, or that they are glad that it’s over. I for one have found that it has been veryrewarding, and rich and full of blessings that are literally too many to count. It has been a
year that has certainly caused one to stop and take notice. I must acknowledge God; for
his love, and his tender mercies to our family and me. For our parents, and for our upbringing
we are so greatful! What an amazing life it has been so far. And, even though
we don’t get to see all of you very often it is such a great blessing to be part of such a
great family.
We were privileged to have Camille hang out at our house a little, and to see Lisa and Jim
for a “little bit” while they were in Vegas. Wish we could have spent more time with youguys.
So if you’re ever down this way, please look us up. Email at
kghumpherys@gmail.com or call or text at 702-300-7766. Ask for big bubba and we’ll keep the light on for ya…
Love Kelly, Sandra, Brooke, and Tanner.
