Ryan and Natalie
Hi Family!
2014 was quite the year!
We celebrated our One year anniversary in June. We can't believe we have already hit the year mark. During our year together we found that we have a lot more in common than we thought. This year was full of $5 movie nights at Megaplex theaters, playing killer bunnies (I don't know who is more competitive), wandering Hastings (the best entertainment store) watching the deer outside, playing video games, eating lots of popcorn and hot chocolate.
In July on our way to California had one of the scariest nights of our lives. If you hadn't heard we got into a brutal accident involving a deer in Parowan. Natalie was driving with Ryan in the passenger and her two younger siblings in the back. We always assumed if we were going to hit a deer it would be coming down Sardine Canyon. We were wrong. We hit the deer going 84 mph spinning us off the road. No one was injured, it was a miracle. As most of you know Natalie is an animal enthusiast so this was extremely traumatizing and still haunts her although we have been fortunate to have over 25 deer surround our house. At first this was initiating panic attacks and her becoming a horrible backseat driver but as time has gone on these deer have obviously been a blessing from our loving father in heaven. We like to think of it as his way of giving Natalie the peace and strength she needs to be confident again behind the wheel.
We moved from our ghetto townhouse to a cute little house next to an abandoned mansion that we would go check out frequently.
Ryan is loving his job at Icon Fitness and Health as Lead Editor. They started going on work "bonding" trips to Comic Con. So he was able to go to both Salt Lake Comic Cons last year. He even got to listen to the panel with his hero Patrick Stewart. His boss also bought a ping pong table and he is one of the best in the studio. He's also becoming a very great mechanic. He was able to replace the timing belt in the truck and many other things.
Natalie is still going to school for Graphic Design. She got a job right before Christmas working as PR/Graphic Designer in the ENGR lab on campus which is giving her a lot of experience and a little test to see if this is really something she wants to pursue. She is also teaching dance, her real passion!
Izzy our little American Eskie is getting more hyper and loves playing with the deer when they come out. And her bones. The two cats LOVE to explore the fields behind our house and have become super great hunters.
We love you all!
